I had learned this technique from my dear Mother back in the early 70's late 80's, when she altered an old frame and placed a piece of fabric over the frame with staples and displayed in the Living Room area. WOW!, I know that Fashion Trends always come back to us and now, that I'm remodeling my daughter's bedroom and I decided to create a great focal point in her room.
Here are some pictures:
♥☺♥I found this canvas frame in someone's garbage and I thought I may use it in the future, this one measured 61x 43. "I guess, somebody's garbage is somebody's treasure"!...
☺♥☺Supplies I used: 31/2 yrds of fabric, Scissors, Measuring tape, Staple gun, Hot Glue gun, Glue sticks, Silk flowers.
♥☺♥ Cut the fabric according frame measurements leaving about 2 inches for folding around the frame edges.
☺♥☺Place cutted fabric under the face down frame and start pulling, folding and stapleling all corners first and work your way until the hold frame is done. (Be careful with your fingers) OUCH!!!
☺♥☺This is the FINAL PRODUCT!
My daugther's room look so different, by adding this great focal point on the wall. She loved it! and I was happy to do it for her and to show you how to create your very own Wall Art.
