It's almost over!!!

October-Breast Cancer Awareness month is almost over and I don't want to say good bye just yet.

My dear Mother, Gladys has recovered very well from her MAMAS surgery and we all are looking forward to a new chapter into our lives. She desided to leave everything in God's hands. She does not like the idea of going into Quimo once again and we are 100% supporting her decision. I know in my heart and believes that she will come out victorious in this fight. God Bless You Today and Always!!! I love you Mom.

Sending you my thoughts and prayes for those who are still fighting cancer and hope you all find any support system (families, friends, support groups) they are an important part when dealing with cancer and what it does to a human soul.
Here are some thoughts for you:

What Cancer Will Not Do
Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendships.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.
You are in God's Hands.

Digital Art Orchestra- Silent Auction

This are some of my new Digital Art that I designed for my daughter's Orchestra Dinner Concert.
I'll be donating some of my framed Digitals for a silent auction that will help raise money for the Orchestra class. My Daughter is in Chambers Orchestra and she plays the Violin.
I love to watch her play!

A Simple Pink Ribbon

The Pink Ribbon is symbolic of Feminity due to its pink color and soft
rounded contours. It could signify womanhood and sisterhood...it is
representative of two arms embracing, crossed in a soft and gentle gesture
of caring. It can be said that the inside space of the ribbon is shaped like
an inverted tear drop, because Breast Cancer can turn your life upside
down and for all the sadness that this disease can bring.

It could also be said that at the point where the ribbon overlaps, it holds
a space for hope. A place of determination and spirit to quietly rest.
It is a sign of strength of the heart and soul. It keeps out bitterness and
despair. The tails of the ribbon flare gently outward indicative of the
direction that we must move in, to provide research to conquer this disease.

It tells the story of persistence and patience, of assertiveness and of ability,
of connecting and conducting.

It is not just a simple pink ribbon, is it?

I will wear my pink ribbon to honor every woman I know who has faced
the challenge of Breast Cancer and for every woman that I will never
know as well.
by Catherine McQuade RN

My mother found this poem on a brochure while visiting her oncologist and
she wanted me to share it with all of you. I never thought that this simple pink ribbon
would be so meaningful to my life and my family and that's why...
I WEAR PINK FOR MY MOTHER TODAY!
